At CPS, we offer the raw labor, logistical support and know how needed to get your projects up and running. With our inhouse packaging capabilities of blister packaging, skin packaging, die cutters, rotary die cutters, and laser cutters in addition to the services of bagging, heat sealing, clam shelling, and kitting, we may fulfill your packaging needs on demand.

Sustainability

CPS provided a clamshell partner a new sustainable design that reduced material costs by 16% and increased post consumer recycled waste content from 30% to 88%. New packaging moved from an RPET clam using 30% post consumer recycled waste to a CCNB carton made from 88% post consumer recycled waste. The carton also incorporated design improvements that added display functionality and allowed for increased automation.

Reduced Lead Time

One partner communicated a need to reduce their sales lead time to increase sales. CPS responded by offering to skip shipping to the partner’s distribution centers and ship directly to the retailer’s distribution centers.

Material Cost Reduction

When one component of a project dramatically increased in price, CPS worked with the vendor to conceptualize a lower cost option that maintained all of the features of the original but mitigated 71% of the price increase.

Labor Cost Reduction

A partner who sells to large retailers had price pressure from their customers. CPS staff used Lean Manufacturing principles to reduce labor costs for one partner by 8% on a volume of 6 million pieces per year.

Speed

When a company’s existing vendor fell behind on a multi-million piece job, CPS completed it during the Christmas/New Year holiday season. 400,000 pieces were completed in three days including work on New Year’s Eve to accomplish the year-end deadline.

Agility

A partner had their raw materials delayed in customs cutting production time in half. The job was partially automated, which created a bottleneck to increasing volume. CPS quickly procured additional machinery to double volume and achieve the deadline.

Flexibility

Another partner needed an emergency increase in production by 400% to over 1.3 million pieces for the month. CPS met their needs and ensured the increase would not create challenges in the supply of materials.

Problem Solving

A new partner approached CPS with a need to redesign a part in their retail product but their solution resulted in a 20% labor cost increase. CPS implemented a solution serving the same needs with no increase in labor cost.
